The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Chairman General Abdel Moneim Al-Tarras have witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between AOI and the Egyptian National Post Organization (ENPO), in the presence of ENPO Chairman Essam El-Saghir. The protocol is within the framework of achieving the state's strategy of favoring local products and enhancing constructive cooperation among the state institutions in various fields.
In this regard, Al-Tarras ascertained the significance of the role that AOI plays in achieving development and in supporting the state's plan to favor the local product and ensure the optimal utilization of available resources and capabilities. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening local manufacturing to meet all requirements of ministries, governorates, authorities and companies, providing the latest products at affordable prices and with speed of implementation in accordance with international quality standards.
He also added that they agreed to supply 20 cash transport armored cars to ENPO as a first phase through Kader Factory for Development Industries, affiliated to AOI. He stated that these cars are characterized by the latest systems of armoring, tracking, monitoring and automatic control systems.
He also stated that the provisions of the protocol have already entered into force, ascertaining that after-sales service is an ongoing responsibility in all projects implemented by AOI.
For his part, Talaat welcomed cooperation with AOI, which ENPO cooperates with today to meet all its different requirements.
El-Saghir explained that AOI is characterized by its technical expertise, overcoming any obstacles to accomplish all areas of cooperation with the required efficiency and at the highest levels of quality and speed, pointing out that ENPO aims to increase money transfer services in accordance with the latest international standards and systems in cooperation with AOI.
The protocol included the agreement on producing various e-payment devices using AOI available resources and capabilities, to implement the state's strategy in this regard.
During Cairo ICT 2019, the ICT Minister and AOI Chairman witnessed the signing of three cooperation protocols between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and AOI, the first of which is on integrating national databases, strengthening control capabilities using information technology, and assisting in implementing Egypt's digital transformation project.
The second protocol is on developing the infrastructure, communications and information infrastructure; programs of the law enforcement system; and projects of public prosecution premises.
The third protocol is within the framework of benefiting from the technical expertise of MCIT to get the highest advantages of the projects implemented by AOI to promote local manufacturing and increase the added value of these projects.
