The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between Egypt National Post Organization (ENPO) and Temenos Group, for applying the best integrated technological solutions on financial, postal and government services.

The protocol was signed by ENPO Chairman Essam El-Saghir, and Temenos Executive Chairman Andreas Andreades.

El-Saghir stated that the protocol reflects ENPO keenness on applying the best technological solutions in different services and transactions using cutting-edge technology and integrated digital solutions. The aim is to facilitate and secure transactions, to have the best integrated system for providing financial, postal and governmental services using omni-channel technology, as one of the main pillars of digital transformation.

El-Saghir added that the protocol targets replacing and unifying the financial, postal and governmental services system through a single updatable financial platform, to attain digital transformation in ENPO. This is achieved through innovating and launching modern digital products and services, thus improving the quality of services provided to citizens, ensuring financial integration and inclusion between ENPO, the various state institutions and the private sector.

ENPO, in addition, signed another cooperation protocol with Tamweely. The aim is to facilitate the submission of citizens' applications for small and micro loans through postal service centers nationwide. El-Saghir and Tamweely Chairman Amr Abou El Azm signed the protocol.

The protocol will allow citizens wishing to obtain small and micro loans from funding agencies to apply to get the loans and pay their installments through postal service centers nationwide. Tamweely also keeps customers updated of their application status through SMS.

ENPO has become a platform for providing citizens with government and financial services. This comes within the framework of ENPO comprehensive strategy that aims to revolutionize the quality of services provided to citizens.

El-Saghir said that the protocol comes in line with Egypt’s efforts to increase financial transparency and integration, and provide exceptional services to customers.
