The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has met with Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Egypt Arman Issagaliyev, where the meeting discussed means of boosting cooperation between Egypt and Kazakhstan in the ICT field, especially in the areas of digital transformation, technological innovation and entrepreneurship.
The meeting also highlighted the significance of bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels, especially in the ICT field. The two sides agreed to promote cooperation in relevant issues and open up new horizons, since the two countries seek to implement their strategy of digital transformation and activate the agreements signed between them to enhance joint cooperation in the ICT field, especially in the areas of building capacity of young people, establishing smart villages, and documenting natural and cultural heritage.
The meeting discussed the possibility of benefiting from Egyptian young calibers, the abundance of skills and the transfer of expertise to Kazakhstan in the fields of outsourcing, information systems and software. They also discussed cooperation in the field of technological innovation and entrepreneurship, capacity building and exchange of experiences in the field of e-government services.
During the meeting, Talaat invited the ICT sector officials in Kazakhstan through the Ambassador to visit Egypt to participate in the World Radiocommunication Conferences (WRC), due to be held in Sharm El Sheikh in October 2019.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan toured the Smart Village, where he visited the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the Centre for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CultNat). The Ambassador hailed the technology used in exhibiting CultNat projects inside the Center.
