Egypt Partakes in OECD CDEP 83rd Session


Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), is participating in the 83rd Session of the Committee on Digital Economy Policy (CDEP) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), held in three virtual meetings, on April 8, 13 and 15.

The meetings will cover topics including the progress and plans made in Going Digital project; national Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital strategies, policies and governance arrangements; and privacy and data protection frameworks. This is in addition to providing updates on the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI), the Digital Economy Policy Platform (DEPP), and blockchain.

Established in 1961, OECD is an international organization that works on developing evidence-based international standards and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. OECD aims to assist its 34 Member States to boost their economic growth, employment rates and the trading volume between Member and Non-Member States.
