ITU Third RDF-ARB Forum, Arab Standardization Team Tenth Meeting Hold


The third Regional Development Forum for the Arab States (RDF-ARB) will hold on March 28-30, while the tenth Meeting of the Arab Standardization Team for the preparation to the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) will take place on March 30-31.

The meetings will be convened in Rabat city, Kingdom of Morocco, and is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Arab Regional Office, and hosted by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Forum aims to present the ITU Arab Regional Office operational plan proposals for the next two-years (2016 and 2017), as well as reviewing and discussing what was achieved in the five Arab Regional initiatives during 2015 and the activities of ITU-D Study Groups and the ITU Centers of Excellence Network.

The Forum will also focus on finding mechanisms to finance and implement these regional initiatives and projects that fall under these initiatives and also to strengthen the partnership between the stakeholders.

Based in Geneva, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the leading United Nations agency for information and communication technologies with 191 member states and more than 700 sector members and associates. ITU role is to enable the global growth and sustained development of ICT. In addition, ITU organizes international telecom events like WSIS and Telecom Africa.
