Egypt National Post Organization (ENPO) is gearing to issue a stamp in the occasion of the new Suez Canal inauguration, scheduled August 2015, to commemorate this historic event. ENPO committee for stamps has recently organized a number of meetings to discuss new suggestions in this regard.

A competition—to launch models of stamps, a card and an envelope—was held for artists from faculties of Fine Arts, Art Education and Applied Arts, in addition to the team responsible for stamp designs at ENPO Printing House.

Collected by the end of June, the best designs presented before the committee will be selected and accordingly, the new Suez Canal stamp will be issued.
