Egypt ICT Trust Fund implements various initiatives that aimed at achieving sustainable community development based on the role of technology and its contribution to empower rural areas.
Through the recent implementation of the Integrated ICT for Development project in Nubia, Egypt ICT Trust Fund has established an integrated sustainable model that includes several pillars, including women empowerment, entrepreneurship, education and health solutions using ICTs.
In this context, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Governorate of Aswan are seeking to synergize the efforts of institutions operating within the governorate, whether government, public or private institutions, to replicate the Integrated ICT for Development project on a wider scale in new areas to implement the project at the level of Aswan Governorate.
Objectives:
- Enhancing medical services in Aswan Governorate
- Empowering women through economic and social programs
- Eradicating women and girls’ illiteracy
- Increasing awareness of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) issues
- Promoting the concept of entrepreneurship among students and PwDs
- Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) owned by young people
- Optimizing e-learning to promote the progress of the educational process
