World Telecommunication Development Conference 2010

An Egyptian official delegation led by Advisor to Minister of Communications and Information Technology for International Cooperation, Dr. Ahmed El-Sherbini participated in the 5th World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-10). The conference, held from May 23 – June 4 in Hyderabad, India, was organized by International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Egypt has participated in this conference through the Arab Region Group, which has submitted 43 suggestions, for updating and modifying current resolutions, in addition to suggesting new resolutions.

This participation has resulted in adopting the conference to the new resolutions suggested by the Arab Region Group, like IP version 6, Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs), and Child Online Safety. In addition to this, the conference also has adopted a suggestion for modifying and publishing the data/statistics collection.
