Egypt's
Contribution to OECD Online Public Consultation on the OECD Ministerial
Meeting “The Future of the Internet Economy”
The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) launched an
Online Public Consultation on the themes and topics to be addressed at the
Ministerial Meeting entitled "The Future of the Internet Economy" due in Seoul,
Korea, 17-18 June 2008.
The aim of the Public Consultation is to provide an opportunity to all
stakeholders to comment on the topics of the conference, hence ensuring that
the conference benefits from a wide and diverse range of opinions and
expertise. Answers to the Public Consultation will thus act as an asset in the
policy discussions leading to the conference.
In Egypt's endeavour to prepare for its participation to the conference, it is
highly encouraged that all interested Egyptian stakeholders provide their views
and share their opinions on the topics to be discussed.
There are five roundtables to post comments on (each roundtable contains a
number of questions):
1. Improving Economic Performance And Social Welfare.
2. Benefiting from Convergence.
3. Promoting Creativity.
4. Building Confidence.
5. A Global Internet Economy.
