Preserving and documenting the heritage is of great importance to Egypt’s government and people especially national documents reflecting the country’s Nation Memory.
The project is, therefore, a national one in the first place providing technology tools to preserve the large number of documents, a main reference to researchers, journalists as well as research and cultural institutions in Egypt and the world.
§ Digitize the 25 million documents of NAE House
§ Classify and index NAE House’s documents, for the first time in 50 years, stored in 22 storehouses
§ Scan 130 thousand important documents with watermark
§ Train new graduates on indexing and retrieving applications, data entry and dealing with database
§ Design and implement a full work system to register entry, retrieve and research database of researchers using the national ID e-reader application

All goals have been achieved. The website entails an advanced search engine, historical documents back to the era of the Fatimid State till present, a searchable index using key words and terminologies. It also includes a photo gallery, news, cultural panels and publications of the NAE House.
