The project aims to activate the role of ICT to establish a database of tumors on the national level through establishing a number of branch centers of the project to collect data in a number of governorates: Assuan, Menya, Beheira, Damietta, and Gharbeya spread nationwide.

The project seeks to establish a search engine to extract health indicators to study the pathogens of cancer diseases, statistics reports to study the disease and its impact on the different age intervals of the population.

    Goals:

§ Establish a national database of tumors
§ Provide an integrated database to serve research and find reasons leading to cancer disease

    Achievements:

An e-portal was established to facilitate the information exchange among branch centers in governorates and the main premises of the project.

Booklets were published on the results of registering cancer in Assuan in 2008, Damietta and Menya in 2009. The booklets showcase the detailed results on basis of the population and methodology of data collection, in a way to improve the health care service for the patients.
