Comprehensive Development and Automation of Ain Shams Hospitals

    Last Updated: 05 Jun 2018
The project aims at building a database for patients and establishing the electronic medical file through the comprehensive automation of Ain Shams University hospitals, which enables to circulate data and medical information among service providers in an automatic and integrated manner. The file can also track the health record of patients and activate the technology of mobile applications in health services (patient record management) for its ease and speed in providing services to patients. It also supports decision makers in the distribution of booking services and surgical procedures according to different criteria (e.g. patient conditions - hospital capacities).

    Objectives:

§ Create, develop and operate the Unique Life-Long Electronic Health Record (HER)
§ Facilitate citizens’ access to treatment services
§ Integrate with LAB & PACS applications in hospitals
§ Comprehensive automation of hospitals (front offices, back offices, internal and external clinics, registration, management and control of inventory movement, and others)
§ Establish a secure information network to exchange information and services among medical units of all kinds
§ Establish an electronic portal for Ain Shams University Hospitals and its affiliated hospitals to enhance communication with patients and all Ain Shams Hospitals’ affiliates
§ Host applications and data in a secure hosting center
