The project of developing the Central Agency for Organization and Administration (CAOA), affiliated to the Ministry of Administrative Development, is part of the national project to develop governmental bodies. CAOA intends to conduct a comprehensive development system for regulatory and operational sections at government administrative sectors.
Since 2005, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) cooperates with CAOA to develop its technological infrastructure and establish an information system that serves CAOA restructuring.
MCIT has set up a system of servers, computers and printers, and local network linking all CAOA departments, in addition to establishing a center for data entry and verification, as well as a lab connected to the internet and other technical equipment.
MCIT cooperation agreement has been keen to maintain the IT infrastructure and create an organizational and operational structure for the governmental administrative system.
Objectives:
§ Raise the efficiency of the information center and means of communication at CAOA
§ Develop a system of restructuring the state administrative units and expand over 590 administrative unit
§ Develop an automated system to manage training and human development for personnel at CAOA
Achievements:
§ Provided equipment necessary for the development of the information center
§ Developed an information network at CAOA and provided data security systems
§ Developed an information system for the restructuring of administrative units
§ provided training and skills courses and expanded the use of the restructuring system in 235 administrative units; other clauses of the cooperation protocol are undergoing
