    The Federal Republic of Nigeria

Despite being the biggest African country in terms of population, Nigeria has been seeking to elevate the standard of ICT as an important sector that boosts sustainable development. Egypt has engaged in talks with the Nigerian partners to identify the major cooperation points in the sector and explore investment opportunities. Egypt's attempts reflect its pursuits to achieve integration among African countries. Egypt has allocated its entire capabilities and experience to help the Nigerian side build a strong, well-established sector covering all ICT fields.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between MCIT and the Ministry of Communications of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in Cairo in 2004, during ITU Telecom Africa, which identifies a number of areas for cooperation including capacity building programs, regulation, trade and investment. Nigerian candidates participated in the first, second as well as the fourth session of the African ICT training Program held at the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI).
