    Egypt has sought to communicate with the countries that have successful models, especially in Africa, such as that of South Africa in a bid to build up the national ICT sector. Egypt has also been boosting cooperation with South Africa in ICT to raise the competitive edge of the two sectors through exchanging expertise and making use of the accumulative experiences of the South African ICT sector.

    The two parties are interested in achieving higher rates of investment in the economies and enhancing competitiveness of their national economies.

    Both countries exchanged presidential visits where officials of South Africa explored Egyptís experience in the field of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and got introduced to the Egyptian experience in the e- government field.
