The third and final phase of the Professional Training Program for university graduates sponsored by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will kick off end of this year. A total of 2,500 graduates of Egyptian universities nationwide are expected to receive the advanced training.
Dr. Ekram Fathy, Senior Advisor to Minister of Communications and IT Human Resources and Training, said the nine-month program consists of ten basic training tracks, some of which include subdivisions.
The ten tracks are: Database Development and Administration, Graphics Design and Development, Networking, Networking Security, Linux/Unix System Administration, Object Oriented Application Development, Web Application Development, Java Mobile Application Development, Software Engineering and Software Testing and Quality.
All university graduates of classes 2004 upwards are eligible to register on the program provided that they meet the qualifications required for this type of advanced training.
According to Dr. Fathy, priority will be given to graduates of specialized faculties like engineering and computer science. Candidates have to first pass the TOEFL test and acquire the ICDL certificate.
Dr. Fathy noted that selected candidates will receive an intensive training in English language and interpersonal skills.
