    ITIDA and QCentris Sign MoU to Boost Outsourcing Investments in Egypt

    Cairo, 12 December 2012

    Mr. Hany Mahmoud witnessed today the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and QCentris. 

    The MoU is meant to expand the global scope of work for the Companyís global customer service center in Egypt inaugurated in May 2012.

    The MoU stipulates that ITIDA shall contribute to build Egyptian capacities who have worked over the past three years in the Company.  As for the telecom export centers, they shall enable the Company take advantage of competitive prices for international calls and agreed connection lines between ITIDA and Telecom Egypt.

    The company shall provide about 100 new job opportunities for specialized Egyptian calibers in this field.  The center is to provide its services to customers in the areas of consultation, development and software testing. These are considered of the most important highly specialized technological services that require hiring the highest technological skills.

    Mr. Hany Mahmoud declares that the agreement with the Swiss company comes within the framework of MCITís exerted efforts through ITIDA to attract more foreign investments to the Egyptian market. 

    The agreement shall also provide more outstanding job opportunities for Egyptian youth, a matter that follows MCIT strategy aiming to increase technological exports which comes eventually in the favor of national economy.

    QCentris has submitted a request to ITIDA to support its position in Egypt in order to benefit from the competitive advantages of Egypt.  The most important advantages are the availability of skills and qualified Egyptian calibers to provide IT services to customers around the world in German and English, in the software field.

    ITIDA CEO, Mr. Yasser El-Kady says that the Company's decision to invest in Egypt reflects the growing interest of such companies in the Egyptian market.  It also reflects the trust of a global company in the Egyptian engineersí performance and efficiency who serve customers all around the world. 

    El-Kady adds that Egypt has become a popular destination for these companies to serve their customers in Europe, America, Middle East and Africa (EMEA); as one of the fastest countries in the world in terms of growth rates in IT services.

    QCentris works in the field of software quality assurance and testing in a variety of sectors and industries that focus on German-speaking markets as well as the USA.  It is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, in addition to 3 other branches in Germany; Gorlitz, Munich and Frankfurt, a branch in Vienna, Austria and the latest branch in zone technologies, Maadi, Cairo.

    QCentris customersí database includes the most prominent European banks and stock markets.  One of its top customers is UPS Worldwide, Credit Suisse Bank, Bank Julius Bar, A1 Telekom Austria, Deutsche Stock Exchange, Stuttgart Borse, Deutsche Bank and others clients.

    The agreement is signed by ITIDA CEO, Mr. Yasser El-Kady and QCentris International CEO, Mr. Reto M. Zuest.
