    Dr. Osman witnesses MoU Signing Between ITIDA and HP to Provide Training Courses to Egyptian ICT Companies

    H.E Dr. Magued Osman, minister of Communications and Information Technology, witnessed today signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Hewlett-Packard (HP).

    The MoU aims at promoting collaboration between both sides concerning the increase of the competitive advantages for the Egyptian hardware manufacturing companies.

    By signing this MoU, HP is demonstrating its commitment to provide world-class training to Egyptian ICT companies in order to help expand IT exports. As a consequence, this will assist these entities to grow business and increase their existence in new markets.

    This MOU was signed on the sidelines of the Cairo ICT 2011 fair and forum during a session entitled” challenges facing the small and medium companies”.

    In accordance with this MoU, HP will provide training programs for companies that are members of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce-Information Technology (FECC-IT).This training will focus on increasing the capabilities and the required practical experience of such companies in the process of growing their business in both local and the regional markets, notably through the cooperation with systems integrators in the Gulf Area.

    In this regard, ITIDA assured days ago that it intended to proceed preparing a package of programs to support the Egyptian Hardware manufacturing industry.

    It is worth mentioning here that this MoU is a step forward to provide help for businesses working in this industry, and to guarantee possessing access with the international experience and the globe range of business that huge HP enjoy.

    Yasser El-Kady, ITIDA CEO mentioned that the MoU is a clear testament to ITIDA's commitment to support all segments of the IT industry in Egypt.

    While ITIDA's endeavours in positioning Egypt as one of the key outsourcing destinations have yielded significant results, they are keen on extending all the needed support to the Egyptian Hardware companies and are positive that this training, along with other initiatives will have considerable impacts.

    On the other side, Hussein  Hamza, HP Egypt Managing Director stressed that signing the MoU with ITIDA, HP is demonstrating its commitment to support the future economy of Egypt  by providing both the necessary  hardware and training for many IT companies to help them export their products which will in turn reflect positively on the Egyptian Economy.

    The MoU was signed by Mr. Hussein Hamza and Mr. Yasser El-Kady and it will be put into effect in collaboration with Computer and Software Department at Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and its members companies.

    During the same meeting, checks issued from the Social Development Fund have been distributed among three companies, as per the concluded agreement between ITIDA and the Fund. Through this agreement, the companies of” Axis”, ”Quantum Pro”  and “ S.I. Technologies” have received the mount of L.E 5 million. 

    Moreover, thirty companies are anticipated to get other loans during the near coming days.
