CES will be held in USA, on January 9, attended by about 3800 startups from 70 countries.

During the meeting, ElKady highlighted the state's interest in empowering young people in ICT areas, thus Egypt can be a regional hub in the ICT field, a matter which emphasizes Egypt's leadership and promotes national technology exports. The ICT sector is a driver of development for all sectors of the state towards digital transformation.

The nine startups delivered detailed presentations, including "AvidBeam", specialized in industrial intelligence and data analysis, especially video analysis in various fields such as driverless cars, health and security. This is in addition to "Blank Ap", specialized in high speed computing via mobiles, and "BioBusiness", specialized in the field of Internet of Things (IoT), especially for medical devices. "DreamSoft" is another company, specialized in developing the applications of participatory economics and digitization of logistics, and "Veditori" which is specialized in the assistive technology for visual impairment.

"Vertech" is also one of the nine companies, specialized in developing the virtual reality and integrated solutions, especially in the fields of heritage conservation, and "Qabes" which is specialized in the areas of smart cities and homes using IoT. This is in addition to "Megsm", specialized in developing the applications of 3D and 4D printing in the field of dentistry, and "Mobiblis" which is specialized in applications of monetary technology and participatory economy.
The ICT Minister discussed, with the representatives of the companies, the technological solutions presented, their business models and how to benefit from these applications and solutions in the projects carried out by the State at the present time.

At the end of the meeting— attended by the Division's Deputy Head Adel Qadous, the Board Member Ayman Al Gohary, and the Executive Director Mohamed Azzam— Khalil thanked the ICT Minister for his great support for the sector and the Division in general and startups in particular. He also ascertained that the Division's vision is in line with the Ministry's in terms of further development of this vital sector through startups, which develop and possess highly advanced technology. He also said that the Division would present the results of the trip and the achievements of the companies through their participation in this important event immediately upon return.
