    Gitex Dubai 2014

    Egypt took part in the events of edition 34 of Gitex Conference and exhibition, organized by the UAE during October 12-16, with a high-level delegation representing the ICT sector and presided by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Atef Helmy.

    The exhibition is the largest in the field of ICT across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. 
    Egyptian participating companies provided a number of technical solutions to serve its prospect clients such as cloud computing,
    enterprise resource planning, human resources, internet solutions and hosting websites,
    software development, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), mobile apps development services, website solutions, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), content management, e-health, smart solutions for areas, financial solutions and other technical solutions.

    The ICT minister, during the events of Gitex 2014,  met with representatives and officials of many international companies and discussed with them means of joint cooperation and increasing investment in the county.

    Helmy said the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) strategy has a priority of achieving digital socioeconomic growth in Egypt and meeting people’s aspiration of prosperity, freedom and social justice by means of developing the sector and attracting more foreign investment which would create new job opportunities.

    The country’s presence in Gitex Dubai comes in line with promoting the Egyptian participation in international forums for the exchange of expertise, opening new markets for local ICT companies and promoting investment opportunities in the sector.
