ITIDA and IDC join hands to Enhance the Egyptian-Gulf Business relations in ICT Sector

    Date published: 13 May 2010
In a non-stopping process for creating better business relations, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency "ITIDA" and International Data Corporation "IDC" are holding ‘Business Without Barriers’ conference in Al- Riyadh on May 26th, and in Dubai on May 24th, 2010.

The conferences aim at supporting IT companies in Egypt and assisting them in increasing their exports of IT products and services via facilitating partnership and business opportunities with their Gulf counterparts.

The conferences are based on the booming Egyptian status as one of the best places in the world providing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services, its rapid development in the field, as well as, its competitive advantages as a world destination for outsourcing firms.

On behalf of "ITIDA", the agency CEO, Dr. Hazem Abdel Azim, expressed his pleasure to establish a partnership with "IDC" in this promising project, by virtue of the great efforts exerted during the last six months. "Transferring a partnership message to the Gulf area is the cornerstone for creating business opportunities between the Egyptian companies and their Gulf counterparts," Dr. Abdel Azim said. "The Egyptian companies look forward to holding the conferences and are sure of their positive outcomes that may contribute to support business with Gulf partners", he added.

Over the last months, "ITIDA" has worked closely with "IDC" for setting a market-penetration platform based upon a research and analysis program under the theme of promoting Egyptian exports to the Gulf, aiming at creating a strong partnership between Egyptian companies and system-integrators in Gulf area.

Based on the fact that most meetings dedicated for establishing business and partnership opportunities are rarely fruitful, due to insufficient time allocated for exploring accessible business opportunities, these two conferences mark the culmination of intense research period for six months.

The research period has been done by senior "IDC" experts and analysts, who first identified the Egyptian companies abilities, products, and solutions and how much they satisfy the needs of the Gulf area; then, facilitated cooperation with system- integrators as well as other potential partners.

The well-planned conferences will include a business delegation representing the Egyptian ICT for cementing long-term business relations between Egyptian and Gulf companies. Moreover, "IDC"  will be responsible, for another six months, for facilitating business relations between the two parties by supporting the Egyptian and Gulf corporations in its endeavor for establishing sustainable trade relations of mutual benefit.
