    Egypt Partakes in 99th Session of IETF

    Egypt, represented by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), will participate in the 99th Session of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) that will be held in Prague, Czech Republic on July 16-21.

    The IETF is one of the leading organizations that enhance the Internet standards and a large open international community of network designers, operators, vendors and researchers concerned with the evolution of the Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet.

    Furthermore, the Internet Society (ISOC) will host the IETF Policy Program to help inform policymakers about IETF work and provide practical information on how the Internet works to help policymakers develop a policy that ensures Internet security and stability. The Program provides an opportunity for sharing expertise and connecting experts and professionals from around the world. The agenda includes an opportunity to identify specific areas of work including the Domain Name System (DNS), the Internet Protocol (IP) and the Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), and encryption. The meeting will embrace governmental officials interested in the development of Internet policy.
