    Date published: 18 August 2016

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) will take part—for the eleventh consecutive year—in GITEX Technology Week, Edition 36, held on October16– 20, Duabi, UAE. Participation registration deadline was August 7. Eight startups will be selected to take part in the event and their selection will be announced on August 25.

ITIDA is to sponsor the Egyptian pavilion, assist companies to promote their services in a preferable manner and provide larger space for them to hold their meetings. Partners will have the ability to present their demos and showcase their latest services through the different partnership packages which are being offered for the first time this year and match all the needs of the different companies.

To ensure the broadest presence and the strongest impact, Egypt will partake this year with two pavilions in two different locations around GITEX venue. The main pavilion will occupy 429 sqm and will be located in Sheikh Saeed Hall similar to last year and will mainly function as the main gathering area for all the partners and their display units. The second pavilion is dedicated to the startups and will be located in Zabeel Hall.

A number of 400 startups from all over the globe will be at Gitex to share their ideas, network with investors and ultimately pitch themselves for a chance to win vital funding from some of the world’s leading venture capitalists.

This year, ITIDA will introduce Egyptian tech startups to the world. For the past years, GITEX has been offering a unique opportunity for Egypt and Egyptian Companies to showcase their newest solutions and technologies and penetrate one of the world’s fastest growing regions. It has enabled new companies to participate in identified trends as well as giving visitors the opportunity to engage, learn and implement the advances of the industry.
