    Date published: 2 December 2019

Egypt is hosting Africa Postal Forum (APF) 2019, on December 4-5, in Cairo, sponsored by Egypt Post, Poste Maroc and other regional organizations and entities, and co-organized by Egypt Post and I-Conference.

Since 2009, the APF has been supporting the changes in the postal sector through a platform that allows the African postal community to meet and discuss its most urgent challenges.

The years edition will discuss the key issues related to the future of jobs, including the ongoing transformation and repositioning processes, the emergence of postal financial services, the need to develop logistics capabilities, the evolving role of posts as a link between the administration and citizens, the impact of technological trends and the potential of e-commerce.

Each year, more than 500 industry professionals and nearly 40 African posts come together to discuss better ways to tackle the problems and promote sustainable development models and innovative diversification strategies.

It also brings together ministries of posts and telecommunications, regulatory authorities, agencies in charge of postal services, specialists in fast messaging, funding agencies, financial institutions, money transfer companies, insurance companies, shipping companies and companies specialized in the development of solutions and software for the postal services.

Egypts hosting of the APF confirms the continental dimension of the event, and highlights the importance of the Egyptian market and the dynamism of its postal services.
