    SECC Launches AMECSE 2014

    Under the auspices of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Atef Helmy, The Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is launching the first edition of Africa and Middle East Conference on Software Engineering,( AMECSE 2014) at Smart Village's Convention Center on October 21-22.

    AMECSE 2014 is the first of its kind conference in Africa and the Middle East specialized in software engineering where most recent innovations, trends, experiences are shared.

    The conference particularly promotes papers addressing deployment of the latest innovations in software engineering technologies and practices; along with policies and business models for software innovation stimulating entrepreneurship.

    A special focus will be given to contributions that discuss challenges, barriers, and opportunities for exploiting software technologies and best practices in the region.

    By gathering professionals from industry, government and academia of different parts of  the world, AMECSE 2014 is the perfect venue to gain visibility of the latest trends for innovative software development and explore the required ecosystem to stimulate entrepreneurship. It is also an opportunity to network with high-qualified audience; and to further strengthen cooperation on both policy making and research levels to solve joint challenges within the region.

    The two-day conference has multiple tracks including the deployment of the latest innovations in software engineering technologies and practices, discussing policies and business models for innovation to stimulate entrepreneurship. Tutorials, panel discussions and other collocated events are held to allow in-depth presentations of discussed topics.
