Raising SECC Appraisals to 50: The Emirati GET Group and the Kuwaiti State Audit Bureau Acquire CMMI Certification

    Date published: 7 February 2013
Under the supervision of the Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) and with the close assistance of its experts, the Emirati GET Group- IT & Passport ID Software Solutions renewed its appraisal for CMMI® for development Maturity Level 3 on February 7, 2013.

This was preceded by the State Audit Bureau - SAB IT, Kuwait appraised to CMMI® for development Maturity Level 2 on January 31, 2013, raising the number of SECC appraisals to 50.

This comes as part of SECC continuous achievements in appraising companies to the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) certification.

SECC, affiliated to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, is a partner to the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in the United States from 2006.

The partnership authorizes SECC to deliver the introduction to CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) course, as well as other complementary courses.

SECC has six experts to provide CMMI-related activities through its partnership with SEI.
These achievements are in harmony with SECC vision bridging the gap between the technologies needed to overcome the economical-social-environmental challenges and the current existing technologies.
