    Date published: 12 November 2017

The Egyptian EGFR 33KS team won the first place in Trend Micro-Capture the Flag (CTF) Competition, organized by Trend Micro on November 11-12, in Japan. EGFR 33KS competed against teams from Japan, South Korea, Poland, Israel, Romania, Taiwan and Russia. In addition, Ibrahim Mosaad was named the best player in the competition.

EGFR 33KS was one of the winners of Egypt National Cyber Security CTF Competition organized by CyberTalents in April 22, in Cairo and were directly qualified to join the international competition Trend Micro CTF.

In a related context, the first Arab Regional Cybersecurity CTF 2017 will be held on December 15-16 in Cairo Security Camp, where the winners of Egypt National Cyber Security CTF, UAE National Cyber Security CTF, and Oman National Cyber Security CTF will compete to win the Arab Champion.

The Cyber Security- CTF Competition aims at attracting talented university students and graduates in the field of information security, given the skills shortage in the local labor market. It aims to link the talented and creative young people and specialists in the field of information security with major companies. The "Capture the Flag" competition is a good opportunity for talented people and professionals to showcase their talents and skills.
