The United Nations Development Program is the UNís global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life.

Since 1966, the UNDP has been partnering with people at all levels of society to help build nations that can withstand crisis and drive and sustain the kind of growth that improves quality of life for everyone.

The UNDP works in four main areas: poverty reduction and achieving the Millennium Development Goals; democratic governance; crisis prevention and recovery; environment and sustainable development.

The UNDP is a major reference for best development practices in ICT. MCIT has benefitted from various cooperation frameworks with the UNDP supporting initiatives aimed at raising the potential of people working in and supervising the Egyptian ICT sector.
