MCIT was instrumental in introducing e-government in Egypt and extending ICT into public services. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is launching �Wazeefa Tech�, a new initiative based on the �Income Share Agreement� model. Wazeefa Tech is built on �Learn Now� Pay Later�, which ends with a job opportunity. Interns will be hired with good salaries after the successful completion of the three-month training program.

The ICT Minister Amr Talaat has witnessed the signing of settlement agreements between the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and mobile operators, including Orange, Vodafone, and Etisalat, to resolve the disputes that lasted for ten years as a result of the appeal of some mobile operators before the judiciary, and arbitrate NTRA decisions.

The ICT Minister Amr Talaat has delivered a speech during his participation in Euromoney Egypt Conference 2019, where he presented the key indicators of the ICT sector and highlighted Egypt�s keenness on cooperating with international companies specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The ICT Minister Amr Talaat has delivered a speech at the 18th edition of the Egyptian Engineering Day (EED), organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Young Professionals (YP) Egypt, in collaboration with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), over two days, at Al-Azhar Conference Center (ACC).
